How much does an accent wall cost?
Every wall differs in size, style, materials and labour. As a guide, an average dining room accent wall in a typical home runs $1,500–$3,500. After the free consultation you'll get a full price breakdown to approve.
Is the design consultation really free?
Yes. It's where we work out all the details, whether you want to be involved in every step or leave it to us. Book through the Contact page.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a 50% deposit when the contract is signed, to cover initial material costs.

What services do you offer?
Interior design, installation, wallpaper hanging, finishing and painting. Whether it's a kitchen remodel, a backsplash to design and install, built-ins, wallpaper or accent wall trim, we oversee the whole process from the first consultation to final sign-off.
Accent walls
How long does a project take?
Some installs take one day, with 2–3 days for finishing. The average project takes about five days from planning to completion. You'll get an estimate at your consultation.
Does my wall need to be finished first?
Yes, walls need to be drywalled before installation. Shoreline Designs is the finishing touch, not the framer or drywaller.
What should I expect during installation?
We arrive with all the tools needed. Ideally the space is cleared of furniture. We keep a tidy workspace throughout the day and clean up before leaving each evening.
Do you paint without an accent wall install?
No. Painting is offered as the finishing step of an accent wall installation.
Do you install standard baseboards or crown moulding?
Not as standalone jobs. We work within your existing trim to create a custom, cohesive look.
Why add an accent wall or moulding?
Moulding, trim and wallpaper add depth, texture and character, turning a plain room into a refined one. They can be tailored to any style, from classic to contemporary, and they often add value: buyers notice craftsmanship and detail. Moulding also hides small imperfections and transitions between surfaces.

Full remodels, kitchen and bathroom renovations, feature walls, colour consultations and home refreshes, plus product and finish sourcing.
What's your design process?
An initial consultation, concept development, realistic renderings, finish and product selections, revisions, and implementation support as needed.
Will I see the design before work starts?
Yes. Realistic renderings are included in most design projects so you can make decisions with confidence.
Do you provide drawings for contractors or cabinetry?
We provide renderings and design concepts, but not permit-ready or cabinet construction drawings. Those usually come from your cabinet supplier, contractor or trades.
Do you help with product and finish selections?
Absolutely. We help source and select finishes, fixtures, lighting, furniture and décor that suit your design, lifestyle and budget.
Do you work with my contractor?
Yes. We can collaborate with your contractor or suppliers so the final result matches the approved design.
After the install
How do I care for my mouldings?
Right after installation, wipe surfaces with a clean, soft cloth to remove dust. After that, dust regularly with a microfibre cloth. Use mild soap and water for occasional cleaning and avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners. In bathrooms, keep the room well ventilated to prevent swelling.
